I’m guilty. Guilty of slouching in bed while working from home, guilty of constantly snacking during lockdown, guilty of binging a Netflix season in one day, but most of all I’m guilty of taking travel for granted.

I think back to my trip to Gran Canaria and what it would feel like to climb to the highest point of the Maspalomas dunes again. This time, I’d close my eyes, feel the wind whirl around me, feel the sand ooze between my toes and take in a deep belly-breath of purifying Aloe Vera air that Gran Canaria is so famous for. This time, I’d be more thankful and this time, I’d feel it more.
